Anti-vibration mount

Also called a mounting bracket, an anti-vibration mount secures the position of a drive inside a computer case. It keeps the drive protected from displacement, and makes the computer operate more quietly. When installing any 3.5-inch device in a 5.25-inch drive bay, make sure to use an anti-vibration mount like the one shown in the picture.
If you purchased a hard drive without a mount and the computer only has 5.25-inch bays, a universal mount can be purchased at almost every computer store.
