Battery slice

A thin battery attached to the bottom of some laptop computers to increase the overall battery life, sometimes by up to 10 hours. A battery slice has the same horizontal and vertical dimensions as the bottom of the laptop. Once attached, it slightly increases the overall height and weight of the laptop. To prevent overheating, a small gap between the laptop and the battery slice allows proper airflow. Dell, Hewlett-Packard, and Toshiba are among the laptop manufacturers that offered battery slices for some models.
Most manufacturers have discontinued battery slices, rendering them largely obsolete. A practical alternative is a power bank, which offers greater flexibility and compatibility across various devices.
