With YouTube, a channel ID is a unique identification used in a YouTube URL (Uniform Resource Locator) to link to a YouTube channel. For example, the following URL links to the Computer Hope YouTube channel with "CkDYIeGnavKtlGDuC0v4iyw" as the channel ID.

How to find your YouTube channel ID
- Log into your YouTube Studio through the profile icon in the top-right corner of YouTube.
- Click the Customization link in YouTube Studio.
- In your channel profile information, you'll see the Channel URL with the channel ID.
How to find another YouTubers channel ID
- Open a video of the YouTuber you want to look up.
- Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+U to view the source code. If you're using another device or computer without a Ctrl key, see: How to view the HTML source code of a web page.
- In the source code, search (Ctrl+F) for "channelID" which should match code similar to the following JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) code. The letters and numbers in the next quoted text are the YouTube channel ID.
"channelId":"UCkDYIeGnavKtlGDuC0v4iyw"
Adding this text to the end of the URL "https://www.youtube.com/channel/" opens the YouTuber's channel and is the full URL with channel id.
