Charger

A charger refers to any device that puts energy into a battery by sending an electric current through it. Some common items that require chargers are phones, laptops, and beard trimmers. The following are the most common types of chargers.
- An AC adapter is used to power and charge devices with batteries or is used as a standalone power source for devices without batteries.
- A car charger is an accessory that plugs into a car's cigarette lighter or another type of power port, and uses a separate sync cable to charge a device (e.g., cell phone).
- A solar charger uses solar energy to provide power to devices. It is generally used in tandem with a battery backup, also known as a power bank. It requires a separate sync cable used with the device to be charged.
- A USB charger is a device that plugs into an AC outlet or USB port and has a USB (Universal Serial Bus) connector on the opposite end. A required USB cable plugs into the USB port on the charger and has an adapter on the other end that plugs into the device. When connected, the USB charger powers and charges the device.
