DCC
DCC may refer to any of the following:
1. Short for Digital Content Creation, DCC describes digital content (e.g., content only available on the Internet) created by a content creator.
2. Short for Direct Client-to-Client, DCC lets the user (client) communicate directly with another user, providing a more secure communication.
3. Short for Direct Cable Connection, DCC is a Microsoft Windows feature that allows a computer to connect directly together and transfer files. Today, a direct cable connection is often done with a USB (Universal Serial Bus) bridge cable. Before USB, other options included IR (infrared), serial port, and parallel port.
4. Short for Digital Compact Cassette, DCC is a digital magnetic tape introduced in 1992 by Philips and Matsushita. These cassettes were similar to the audio cassette but never became popular.
