Down
Down may refer to any of the following:
1. Down describes a non-functional computer or program that needs to be fixed or restarted before it can be used. For example, if the Computer Hope website were down, you would get an error when you tried to access any of our pages. However, since you are reading this page, the website is up.
2. Down is one of the four directional arrow keys on a computer keyboard. It moves the cursor in a downward direction. If you were using the WASD keys to navigate a program, the "S" key would have the same function as the down arrow key.
3. With an action or a button, down is pressing and activating a button. For example, a computers power button may have to be pressed down to turn the computer on or off.
