FT may refer to any of the following:

1. With a measurement, ft is short for feet and foot. For example, someone might claim they're 6 ft tall (six feet tall). A foot equals 12 inches or 0.3048 meters.

Tip

Use "foot" when referring to a single unit of measurement and "feet" when referring to multiple units.

2. When describing a smartphone, FT is an abbreviation for Apple FaceTime. For example, someone might send an SMS (Short Message Service) message with the text "wanna ft?" which is the same as saying "want to FaceTime?"

3. Ft is an abbreviation for "featuring." For example, when describing a music act, an artist may feature another artist to help give them exposure to their fans.

4. With online gaming, FT is short for "For Trade" and is used in chat or other communication to let others know you want to trade an item. WTT (Willing To Trade) may also be used instead of FT.
