Short for Multi-Color Graphics Array or Memory Controller Gate Array, MCGA is a graphics system built into computers manufactured during the 1980s. MCGA can displaying 80 x 25 text in monochrome, 40 x 25 text in 256 colors, or 320 x 200 pixel graphics in 256 colors. Today, MCGA is considered obsolete.
