Negate may refer to any of the following:

1. Negate describes removing or denying access to a process or command. Negate is also a command on network routers and operating systems to permanently delete a line from the configuration or command line.

2. With the processor ALU (Arithmetic Logic Unit) arithmetic unit, negate is the operation that flips the bits values sign (- to + or + to -).
