NURBS
Updated: 05/04/2019 by Computer Hope

Shorthand for Non-Uniform Rational Basis Spline, NURBS is a mathematical formula representing the position of an object in three-dimensional space. This concept includes mapping the coordinates of vertices, splines, and faces, which make up polygons. NURBS is frequently used in 3-D modeling, animation, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), and other software that utilizes 3-D graphics.
An example of 3-D modeling software that utilizes NURBS is 3ds Max. It is also capable of animation and rendering.
