SHV connector

An SHV connector, also known as a safe high-voltage connector, is used to terminate a coaxial cable. It uses a bayonet mount, which employs a cylindrical, rotating connector to securely lock the connection. It also features an extra-thick, protruding insulator which makes it especially suited for high-voltage cabling. SHV connectors are commonly rated for up to 5,000 volts and 5 amperes of electrical current, although special-purpose SHV connectors can be rated for up to 20,000 volts.
