Vertical scrolling
Vertical scrolling is the most common form of scrolling on a computer. With vertical scrolling, the window moves up or down using a scroll bar, allowing the user to see additional information in the window. For example, you may need to scroll down to continue reading a document or see other parts of the page. Below is a Microsoft Windows window image with a vertical scroll bar on the right side of the window and horizontal scroll bar on the bottom.
If your mouse has a wheel, you can use it to scroll up and down on any page. On the keyboard, you can scroll up and down using PgUp and PgDn.
On a web page, before you scroll down what you see is called "above the fold." When you scroll down, you're below the fold.
