Can I add an AGP slot to my computer?

Question:

Can I add an AGP slot to my computer?

Answer:

Desktop computers

If you have an older computer that does not have an AGP slot, the only method of adding an AGP slot to your desktop computer would be to remove and replace the motherboard with a new motherboard that supports AGP. Installing a new motherboard can be one of the most difficult things for most users, and in many cases we suggest simply purchasing a new upgraded computer that supports AGP.

Laptop computers

Almost all laptop and portable computers do not have the ability to have a new video card installed and/or an AGP slot to be added to it. Additional information about laptop upgrades can be found on document CH000618.
