Add/Remove Programs

A feature first introduced with Windows 95, that was later renamed to Add or Remove Programs with the introduction of Windows 98, and then finally renamed again to Uninstall a program with the introduction of Windows Vista. Add/Remove Programs allows a Microsoft Windows user to quickly and easily uninstall a installed program from their computer. Below is an example of what this screen looks like and as can be seen you're presented with a list of currently installed programs that can be selected and the uninstalled by pressing the Remove or Uninstall/Change button.

How to get into Add or Remove Programs

  1. Click Start
  2. Click Control Panel or Settings and then Control Panel
  3. Double-click Add/Remove Programs or Uninstall a program.
